Dr. Andrew Blank is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology with over 25 years of experience. He is dedicated to diagnosing and treating patients with complex esophageal and bowel disorders while treating each patient as he would his own family. Areas of expertise include inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, and pancreatic and biliary diseases.
Dr. Blank received the prestigious Cullman Family Award for Excellence in Physician Communication in 2019. He served as an Associate Professor at Mount Sinai Health System and authored several articles on Crohn's disease, pancreatitis, and multiple digestive disorders.
After graduating from Binghamton University with honors, Dr. Blank earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. Following medical school, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was appointed Chief Medical Resident. He continued training at Lenox Hill Hospital to complete his Gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Blank completed an additional fellowship in Advanced Hepatology at Mount Sinai Hospital.
He has been to all 50 states and is working towards making it 50 countries. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, hiking, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
