Christine Chen, DO, is a trained gastroenterologist who provides compassionate care at Digestive Disease Care in New Hyde Park, Lake Success, and Mineola, New York. Dr. Chen collaborates with patients from all backgrounds and is fluent in English, Mandarin, Spanish, and Taiwanese.
Dr. Chen graduated summa cum laude from Kean University New Jersey Center for Science, Technology, and Mathematics with a Bachelor of Science in biomedicine in Union, New Jersey, before earning her doctorate in osteopathic medicine at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey.
After graduation, Dr. Chen completed her internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City. She is currently finishing a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where she was recently named Chief Fellow.
Dr. Chen has received several awards throughout her education and training, including the Outstanding Poster Award from the American College of Gastroenterology. She belongs to multiple professional organizations, such as the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Gastroenterological Association.
