About Dr. Rahman

Sparked by his own experience dealing with gastrointestinal problems while growing up, Merajur Rahman, MD, has developed a compassionate, patient-centered, and comprehensive approach to medicine. Dr. Rahman has become an integral part of the Digestive Disease Care team serving the Queens community of Forest Hills, New York. 

Dr. Rahman attended medical school at State University of New York at Stony Brook, New York, before moving on to Hofstra Northwell Health (North Shore LIJ), in Manhasset, New York, for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rahman stayed at Hofstra Northwell Health (North Shore LIJ) to complete his fellowship training in Gastroenterology. 

Dr. Rahman is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is also a proud member of the American College of Physicians and the New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He emphasizes building authentic relationships with his patients to give them a voice in their care. 

In his free time, Dr. Rahman enjoys playing football, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
