Dr. Mehta attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY, before moving on to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York for her internship and residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Mehta completed a research fellowship in Hepatology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and Rockefeller University in New York.
Dr. Mehta has also completed an Advanced Endoscopic Fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound as well as a clinical fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University Hospital of the State University of New York in Syracuse, New York.
Dr. Mehta is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the American Gastroenterology Association.
As a mother of three, family time is very important to Dr. Mehta. When she is not working, Dr. Mehta loves spending quality time with her children and family.
